The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Bauchi state, Alhaji Hamza Akuyam has said that the ”failed” All Progressives Congress, APC, ward and local government congresses on Saturday was a strong indication that PDP will defeat the ruling party come 2019.
Akuyam, who stated this in an interview with DAILY POST on Saturday, stated that the PDP has been vindicated and Nigerians will vote for it in 2019.
He described the APC congresses as undemocratic, alleging that it was hijacked by the powers that be in government.
“There was no elections virtually in all states of Nigeria as claimed by APC because what happened is that names of imposters were written and submitted for affirmation to implement the script of their masters and they had accused PDP of impunity, who is fooling who?” Akuyam queried.
He continued that with what happened today, APC has justified its alleged irresponsibility and insensitivity as platform of injustice and a party waiting to slump.
The state PDP chairman stressed that there is no room for APC to win elections again, pointing out that many of its members have already contacted PDP in preparatory to defect to the opposition.
“APC has already campaigned for PDP especially by failing Nigerians in its promised. However. Now, Nigerians are tired of the ruling party for sponsoring killings in various states, hunger and poverty,” he said.
Akuyam maintained that APC is unfit to tackle corruption, adding that the APC government is in confusion on how to handle the country.
