Boko Haram: What US govt said about Mubi attack

The United States Government has reiterated its support to Nigeria on the fight against terrorism.

In a White House statement, President Donald Trump described the attack on Muslim worshippers at a mosque in Mubi, Adamawa State last Tuesday as a stark reminder of the depravity of those who commit mass murder against innocents.

The statement reads, “The United States condemns in the strongest terms the craven terrorist attacks Tuesday against a mosque in Mubi, Nigeria.

“These attacks, which deliberately targeted people at a place of worship, are a stark reminder of the depravity of those who commit mass murder against innocents.

“As President Donald J. Trump reaffirmed with President Buhari of Nigeria on Monday, the United States stands firm with Nigeria in its fight against the scourge of terrorism.”

DAILY POST recalls that no fewer than 60 persons were feared dead in the Tuesday terrorist attack in Mubi.
