The former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole on Thursday met with President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of the June 2, 2018 national convention of the All Progressives Congress.
Oshiomhole, who is contesting for the position of national chairmanship of the ruling party, met behind closed doors for about two hours today at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The former governor was accompanied to the meeting by the chairman of the All Progressive Governors’ Forum, Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.
However, Oshiomhole and Okorocha after the meeting refused to respond to the State House correspondents on the reason for the impromptu meeting.
President Buhari had recently asked all the APC governors to throw their weights behind Oshiomhole for the party’s topmost position.
