We had earlier reported that the Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, stated that there are hosts of friendly games lined up for the team later in the year, which would assist in upcoming competitive games.
“We have made contact with top executives in the German FA about a friendly, so we could play them”, he stated.
A member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) also confirmed to africanfootball.com that the discussion has got to advanced stage and a fixture secured.
On the date of the match, Rohr noted that “…you can’t be in talks with a nation like Germany without a date in mind, so we have proposed a date of the 17 November 2017 at a yet to be agreed venue.”
“For now we are looking at three venues – Paris, London or Germany. Soon a decision will be reached by both parties and an announcement will be made as well.”
The official announcement from the Nigeria’s football body is being awaited to finally confirm the date of the fixture.
