Femi Fani-Kayode, former Aviation Minister, on Saturday commended Catholic Bishops for asking President Muhammadu Buhari to resign, ahead of 2019.
Recall that the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, CBCN had called on Buhari to resign, following
The call was made against the backdrop of two Catholic priests and other worshippers killed in Benue State by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
CBCN had urged the President to choose the part of honour by “stepping aside to save the nation from total collapse.”
Reacting to their call, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain commended the Catholic priests for speaking against, “tyranny, evil and injustice.”
In a tweet, Fani-Kayode also frowned at the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, and the Anglicans over their silence against the current situation in the country.
He wrote: “I commend the courage of the Catholic Bishops who have condemned @MBuhari and given him a red card.
“Once again the Catholics have taken the lead in the fight against tyranny, evil and injustice.
“Where are PFN, the Anglicans and all the others?I deplore their timidity and silence.”
