Former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala on Saturday said he had offered himself to Governor Abiola Ajimobi of the State to lead the cause of reconciling all aggrieved members of the party.
Alao-Akala stated this shortly after the state congress of the party held at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, where the faction of the party loyal to the state Governor held its own congress.
Rather than harmonizing, Alao-Akala said the party was keen on accommodating all aggrieved party members, bearing in mind the need for all members to see themselves as important.
Alao-Akala while speaking said “I don’t think there will be anything like harmonization, but we definitely we will accommodate.”
He noted that the process of harmonisation will start with immediate effect.
Alao-Akala said, “The process of reconciliation will start immediately.
“As a matter of fact, I have told the governor that I will offer myself for that purpose to ensure we bring everybody together.
“We will accommodate one another to ensure everybody participates and feels important”.
