The House of Representatives has said the 2018 appropriation bill will be passed next week.
Abdulrazak Namdas, spokesman of the House, announced this while addressing National Assembly correspondents on Thursday.
According to him, the budget would be laid before the lawmakers on Tuesday and passed within the week.
“By next week, everything about the budget will be treated and passed,” he said.
Earlier, DAILY POST reported that fnancial experts had expressed worries over the delay in passage of the 2018 budget by the National Assembly.
Dr Samuel Nzekwe, a former President, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) said that the delay had created confusion within the system because there was no way the economy could move forward. h
