Banned Ronaldo Set For Real Madrid Return

On August 14, Ronaldo was slammed a five-match ban for shoving referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea moments after being sent off in an El Classico tie against Barcelona.

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to make his first Spanish La Liga appearance this season when Real Madrid take on Betis on Wednesday.

On August 14, Ronaldo was slammed a five-match ban for shoving referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea moments after being sent off in an El Classico tie against Barcelona.

The striker missed the return leg of the El Classico and was banned for four La Liga matches, which he has completed.

However, he played in Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League opener, scoring a double against APOEL Nicosia on Wednesday.

His return would boost Madrid’s frontline as they seek to defend the La Liga title.
