The Senator representing Southern Kaduna senatorial district, Danjuma Tella La’ah, has accused Governor Nasir El-Rufa’i of Kaduna state of promoting hate speech among the good people of the state.
He said, ”El-Rufa’i is the devil Kaduna state ever had since the creation of the state. He never wanted to see peace achieved in the state. He created divide and rule policy, I don’t know what he want to achieve.
“We want to create a humble atmosphere for people to live and understand each other but he said no, we are demons, and extended to the level of cursing us in the public.”
La’ah, who made the statement while receiving a delegation from Interfaith Mediation Center in Kafanchan said he has been looking forward to meet a sincere and dedicated group that has initiatives and that he would carry along everybody regardless of their party, faith or tribe.
He said many people pretend to be believers while their hearts are filled with hatred and urged his people to shun all forms of vices.
He prayed that his constituency should set up a model of building peace that would be transformed to other parts of the country.
Speaking earlier on the visit, the leader of the delegation, Dr. Nuraini Ashafa, said they were on a visit to the senator for a conflict transformation between livestock farmers and crops farmers and to see how they can work with the policy maker in creating joint investment between farmers and pastoralists.
”Since both of them have strong unification in the past, we are on a journey to rediscover the tools that created a protocol of conflict transformation and also develop an economic interest and practice zero-grazing or grazing in a small ranch that both the crops and livestock farmers would benefit from each other,” he explained.
He added that they had chosen two senatorial districts in Kaduna and one in Plateau State for the assignment.
