Former Nigeria international defender Taye Taiwo believes Vincent Enyeama should stay away from the Super Eagles.
Enyeama quit the Super Eagles in October 2015 after falling he was stripped of the captain’s armband due to a fall-out with then boss Sunday Oliseh.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr have all opened the door for Enyeama’s return.
aiwo who however played with the former Super Eagles captain for years says he wants Enyeama to stay away from the national team.
“If I were Vincent Enyeama, I’d stay stay away from the Super Eagles,” the 32-year-old left back said in an interview on Brilla FM.
“He has achieved everything with the team.
“”He has 100 caps for the Super Eagles, what more can you ask? Other goalkeepers should get their opportunities.”
Speaking on the state of the Super Eagles under Rohr, the FC Lausanne-Sport of Switzerland defender believes the German is doing a good job with the team.
“If a player is not a regular at his club, he shouldn’t go near the Super Eagles,” the defender also added.
Taiwo played for the Super Eagles of Nigeria between 2004 and 2012 and 53 caps.
