Joshua Dariye: Nigerians reacts as ex-governor weeps in court

A former Governor of Plateau State, Joshua Dariye, has stirred reactions online after his picture emerged online where he was seen crying in court.

Dariye was sentenced to 14 years in prison by the FCT High Court sitting in Gudu, Abuja had on Tuesday, for misappropriating N1.1billion state’s fund .

After Justice Banjoko found him guilty of criminal breach of trust as regards N250 million issued to Pinnacle Communications emanating from the state’s Ecological Fund, the former governor wept profusely in court.

This stirred reactions online as Nigerians applauded Justice Banjoko for passing fair judgment despite Dariye’s status.

They called for the prosecution of other looters.
