The Chief Whip of the Kogi State House of Assembly and member representing Ijumu State Constituency, Victor Omafaiye has dismissed claims that the members were collating signatures to impeach the Speaker, Mathew Kolawole.
Omofaiye while reacting to an online media post (Not DAILY POST) on Thursday described the report as ill-conceived by enemies of the present administration in the State.
He said the report was aimed at instigating disaffection and mistrust between the leadership of the House and key party stakeholders in the ruling All Progressives Congress.
According to him, “This is not only demonic, it is politics taken too far, as such a plot never existed in reality, but probably in the imagination and wishful thinking of the author of the article.
“There is no threat of impeachment, removal or whatever as wrongly insinuated by the author”.
